‘Toxic’ Teaser: Yash returns as ruthless Raya in gory, gloomy, fierce face-off with Tovino Thomas
The teaser hints at a darker, more adult world where loyalty and betrayal collide at every step. With a massive ensemble cast and multilingual release, the film is aiming for a pan-India spectacle.
The internet just got a fresh shock dose of style and violence. The new teaser of ‘Toxic’ dropped on Friday, and fans are already screaming: “Raya is back!” And yes, the return of Yash is loud, bloody, and impossible to ignore.
The teaser opens in a gloomy, shadowy world where danger feels thick in the air. We see quick flashes of Raya, the fierce character played by Yash. Someone warns him to stay away this time because the enemy is stronger. But Raya clearly has his own rules.

The visuals are raw and intense. Broken limbs, chopped heads, brutal action fill the teaser. Mercy disappears the moment Raya walks in. The tone is darker than before showing a world where violence rules and fear has no place.
Raya rules the screen
Just like the earlier controversial teaser-trailer, this new teaser is fully dominated by Yash. Every frame screams power. His body language, his stare, and his silent rage all shout that he is the king of this chaotic universe.
There is also a bold moment showing Raya in a rough romantic scene. This adds to the film’s adult, edgy vibe. It hints that this story is not just about action but also about obsession and desire in a dangerous world.
The teaser finally gives us a glimpse of the big enemy. Malayalam star Tovino Thomas appears as the antagonist. His chilling line, “I’m home, daddy!” instantly sets up a fierce face-off with Raya.
The old teaser drama still haunts
The first look of ‘Toxic’ had already stirred massive controversy when it was released on January 8, Yash’s birthday. That video showed him making out with a woman inside a car and then shooting down several men in a cemetery.
The visuals upset some groups, including a Christian body and a state women’s commission. An FIR was also filed against the makers.
But the film industry did not stay quiet. Filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Ram Gopal Varma openly supported the creative freedom of the team.
Toxic cast
‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is shot in Kannada and English and will be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
The cast is packed with big names: Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth join Yash in this ambitious project.
Toxic release date
The film is ready to release on March 19, and it won’t have an easy road. It will clash with ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ at the box office.
Yash's 'Toxic' has been delayed three times. The film is done, the star is ready. And, the only thing standing between it and a release date may be another film Yash himself is producing.
Ahead of the March 19 box office clash between Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ and Yash’s ‘Toxic’, Ram Gopal Varma calls it a clash of audience intelligence, later clarifying his viral remarks.
